Something special Made in China

These two pieces come from a Chinese teenager who approached me wanting some stamps. He was a few days late for me to easily acquire them, but I managed to track them down for him. He sent me these in return.

Firstly, he drew me up his own Shanghai Expo postcard. Lovely, isn't it?

And he included this gorgeous silk stamps - they're so soft! And not cheap either - so I am VERY grateful to him indeed.

Thanks Zhan! Hope your postage stamps arrive in China soon ^^

From the West Indies (Trinidad and Tobago )

This delightful package arrived coutesy of Jeustar, a lovely lass I found via Interpals.

Postcards! What a beautiful country. Love the buildings. As a New Zealander, beaches are not such a novelty. Still, it does look like a glorious place to visit.

Money $$$. this is the $1 bill. She also sent the coins but I did not think they would scan so well.

Pretty fishie stamps!

She also sent a ceramic hotplate which was really nifty but suffered injuries on the journey and needs a bit of minor surgery.

Costa Rica is WILD!

I adore this set I received yesterday as part of an organised trade.

Isn't the eyelash viper beautiful?

United States

The last few days have delivered some treasures from the United States.

The first comes from New Hamphire, featuring a cute red fox and her cub, and was part of an organised personal postcard trade:

The second two come from the lovely Linda, who received an official Postcrossing postcard from me - my handdrawn Tawaki, and was so pleased she sent me something in return:

Which was so sweet of her!

Today the Lithuanian Post came

I guess the Lithuanian post all gets delivered to New Zealand at once, because today I
received two letters, both from Lithuania.

The Lithuanian start bird is the Stork. This is what delivers babies folks!

And also from Enorca, a set of amazing dragons:

Lithuania has AWESOME stamps!

I also thought it might be fun to start scanning all my inwards non-postcard mail too, so you can see the awesome ATCs I receive. If you wish to see the art cards and assorted other art pieces I send, visit my daily art blog.
