Table of Mail!

Okay, I've been away exploring the West Coast for the last few days and left my husband to mind the fort and the mailbox.

Well, needless to say, I came home to find the table covered in mail!

An Official Art Postcard from the Netherlands

A Willow Tit from Finland (also an official)

A lovely print of a building in Belarus (Official)

A wild landscape from Poland.

Petronas Twin Towers from Malaysia

A historic house from Brasil.

And a postcard from Australia - the city of Brisbane, in fact (Official).

Postcards from Europe

My mailbox has been empty of Official PC postcards for about a week now. Indeed, I was starting to wonder if the mailman was stealing them. But I did receive these two in Personal Trades;

The Baltic Sea during a grey weather day. Beautiful, isn't it?
From Iwoo in Poland.

"Hope is the Cradle of Dreams"
From Muusa (UniversalMind) in Finland to whom I sent an Official, handmade PC postcard. This is her "Thank you" card. And it is beautiful. It reminds me of the sympathy cards - subtle and kind of haunting in its imagery.

Slow-worm from Finland

This amazing postcard arrives courtesy of Zigu in Finland. But it's not just a postcard - it's a beautiful work of original art. She is so very talented! The back was cute too - with handdrawn stamp and postmark.

This fellow is a slow-worm, and he is not a worm nor a snake, but in fact a legless lizard. I think he's on the hunt for something tasty to gobble up.

Thank you so much Zigu! It's gorgeous and I love it.

Another for my flock

Another fine fowl from Finland has flown into my collection! Together I hope the two don't start fighting for territory!

Feathered Friend from Finland

I've received a number of postcards from Finland and the eastern/northern European countries, I guess they are more "old fashioned" with their communication then say, the US and England. Although I've had a few from the States. None from Australia or NZ yet though. Time will tell...

Anyhow, today I received a Western Capercaille from Finland, with a nifty moomin stamp and sticker on the reverse. I scanned them up and superimposed them on the front.

I received my first handmade "official" card today, from a 15 year old lass in Finland:
